 Lieutenant General Arvind MahajanPVSM AVSM, VSM & Bar, DG of EME an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Dehradun was commissioned in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers in Dec 1967. The General Officer has had a brilliant academic career topping most of the courses he has done till now. He has an engineering degree in Mechanical stream and is an M.Tech in Automotive Engineering. He has an AMIE, MIE, M.Phil (Defence Studies) and master Diploma in Business Administration (MDBA). He is foreign trained on many important military equipment and has done a large number of coveted military courses with distinction. In his career of forty years, he has held various important appointment where his contributions have been appreciated by one and all. He has also been the staff captain at Indian Military Academy where he moulded the young blood of the country into officers of the Indian Army Before taking over as Director General of the Corps of EME, at Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army) he has also been commandant of Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, Secunderabad, the premier technical institution of the Indian Army which runs the degree engineering and M.Tech courses in various disciplines for the officers of the Indian Army. The General Officer is a highly decorated officer. He has been awarded with Chief of Army staff Commendation Card’ twice, Chief of Naval Staff Commendation Card Vishist Seva Medal’ twice,Ati Vishist Seva medal and Param Vishist seva Medal. He highly regards the development of moral values and character as most important and sets personal example of excellence in all fields. |
