 Experience

(i)  Government of India          : 10 years

(a) Ministry of finance, for five years from 1949 to 1954 as Inspector of Loans for giving Financial Assistance to Displaced Persons from Pakistan To set themselves up in Business / industry.

(b) Ministry of External  Affairs, New Delhi from  1954 to 1959 as a Visa  Officer Indian High Commission Lahore (Pakistan) 

(ii) Banking                          : 30 years.

Joined New Bank of India in the year 1944 and worked there upto 1949. Thereafter I joined Govt. Of India as mentioned in (i) above, and re- joined the bank as Branch Manager in- charge of Bombay & Calcutta Branches; and was responsible for opening a number of branches in the country. In the year 1979, was promoted as Asst. General Manager in-charge of Development Portfolio of bank, including branch expansion, mobilization of deposits and dispensation of credit to small Scale and Large Industrial Advances. Another responsibility that was given to me was with regard to development of Foreign Exchange business of the bank establishment of correspondent relations with other countries vis-à-vis Foreign Exchange, which I did very successfully. Thereafter, I was promoted as Dy. General Manager in-charge of Loans and advances To both weaker section of the society and Small Scale Industrial Advances.

: In the year 1979 I left New Bank of   India and Joined Lakshmi Commercial  Bank Ltd., the biggest non- nationalised  bank in the country as               General  Manager; and in a span of six months  took over as Chairman of the bank  where I remained upto April, 1982.   During this period, the               bank multiplied  its activities many folds.

: keeping in view the remarkable work  done by me in a non – nationalised  bank, I was selected as Executive  Director in Public Sector Bank i.e.               New  bank of India, in April, 1982; and  thereafter Elevated to the position  of Chairman and Managing Director in  September, 1982. During my               regime  the bank expended its activities many  folds with deposits of Rs.1000 crores and 650 branches all over the country. I  left the service in the               year 1984.

Other Activities                               

: in the year 1982, I was nominated by  the Govt. of India as a member of a  committee for fixation of salary  of   Bank Employees. I have also been a   member of the Executive Committee of  Indian Banks Association, Bombay,   and have actively participated in the   policy making decision covering  various aspects of banking.

: I have also been a member of Executive  Committee in the National Institute of  Bank Management – an apex body on  Banks -  responsible for formulating  policy on banks functioning.

Present Assignment

: At present I am working as a Financial  and Techni9cla Consultant to many  renowned companies having turn-over  100crores of rupees.

: Beside, I am associated as a Trustee of a well-known Education Trust in Delhi and am on the Board in the Following Companies:

(ii)                 Usha Leasing Pvt. Ltd.

:  Chairman of Education Institution at Bhopal,   Sehore (MP).
