17th Aug 2010 : Interschool Bio-tech Meet, 2010 was organized by Sadhu Vaswani International School . SPS bagged first and second position amongst 23 participating schools.

13th Aug 2010: Recitation of self composed poems by students of Class V and VI to be aired live on Indraprastha Channel(A.I.R) 819 KHz at 5:10 p.m,on 14th August 2010 , the eve of Independence Day.

7th Aug 2010: The Salwanians have proved their mettle yet again at the “Geomaty-Inter Schools Competitions” held at Amity International School, Noida on 7th August 2010 by bagging the Ist position amongst 50 participating schools of Delhi in “Costumes of the World Display Competition” and Consolation Prize in “Ceremonies of India-Depiction Competition”.

5th Aug 2010 :Zonal Gymnastics Championship was held at Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya for U/10 Boys and U/12 Girls category . SPS Bagged first position in U/10 Boys category ,Won the overall championship trophy and Pranav Rai, III C bagged three gold medals ,Bagged Runners up position in U/12 girls category. Saloni bagged gold medal in flooring Exercises.
Harshika bagged a silver medal in Table Vaulting exercises .Sara bagged a bronze medal in Table Vaulting exercises.

1st Aug 2010 : SPS Bagged third prize in the Astronomy Board making Competition organized by SPACE at the National Level.

22nd -24th July 2010 : Delhi State Annual Athletics Meet, 2010 was held at Central Secretariat Ground. SPS won the Championship of Boys U/16 category

2nd July 2010 : Salwan Green School Project flag off ceremony: g.d.Salwanians launched the Green School Programme, under CSE, in the school on 2.7.10. Five audit teams were raised on which the evaluation of the programme will finally be assessed namely: Water, Air, Land, Energy and Waste. The entire school community engaged in the programme were introduced. Each audit team comprising of teacher, students, administrative and support staff  explained their agenda, their planned activities and their implementation.

21st May 2010 : A Trip To Mashobra (Shimla) :Rendering a complete person to the society is the biggest advantage of getting education at g.d.Salwan Public School. The Principal always takes up the responsibility of designing young minds to help them experience a new freedom in the lap of nature, through educational and adventurous trips.In this regard the school organized a trip to Mashobra which is a beautiful village that lies on the road leading from Shimla to Naldera.

11th May 2010 :  Investiture Ceremony:G.D Salwan Public School , Rajinder Nagar organized the Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected Student Council members for the academic session 2010 -11 on 11th of May 10  .

6th May 2010 :  Workshop on "My Safe PC" by Microsoft:Keeping in mind the increasing online threats like viruses and harmful software g.d Salwan Public School , Rajinder Nagar in association with Microsoft organised a workshop on ‘Computer Safety for Students ‘ on 6th of May 2010.

30th April 2010 : Earth Day:The month of April ended with a plethora of activities. g.d.Salwan public school , as a part of its monthly schedule, held a number of activities on 30-04-10. An inter house earth day skit competition was held wherein various houses presented a 3 minute skit on topics related to degradation of environment.

7th April 2010 : World Health Day:-In today’s perspective Health of an individual has taken the top most priority. People are so busy in the rat race that they hardly realize the importance of the body machine which carries out their missions. World Health Day is a global movement to make cities healthier. Through the World Health Day 2010 campaign "1000 cities - 1000 lives", events were organized worldwide calling on cities to open up streets for health activities to illustrate what people are doing to improve health in their cities. In the premises of g.d. Salwan Public School also this day was celebrated very enthusiastically. A special assembly was organized on 7th of April; 2010.The progamme of the morning assembly began with physical exercises followed by the views on health through Sanskrit shlokas, song and a talk by students of class 8th.

4^th May 2010 : A workshop on Paper Jewellery Making was organized for  classes V and VI. The students learnt to make exotic and chic jewellery with waste paper. 

3^rd May 2010 : A Workshop on ‘Fun Dance’ was organized for classes III and IV by Times of India. The students learnt various Dance steps. It was fun and entertainment for the students as they shimmered their way onto the dance floor and performed on various songs.

30^th April, 2010  :  ‘We are the World’...a Project Presentation by students of Class II.

24^th April’10:  was celebrated as a theme day, titled “Three Cheers to Good Health”.  While the students of class I decorated fruit and vegetable cut-outs with all types of assorted printing, the students of Primary and Middle school were deftly assembling sandwiches, salads and vegetable carvings. The attractive presentations, the innovative designs and the colourful concoctions had everyone wanting to relish the dishes prepared by the young chefs.

22^nd April 2010 :  World Earth Day - A Mega Art Competition was organised by The Art of Living Foundation together with Delhi Jal Board, NIE(Times Group) and UNICEF, as a part of a larger awareness building campaign towards cleaning our National Capital Delhi and the River Yamuna. The theme for the drawing contest, “My Clean Dilli Dream Dilli”, had the vivid imagination and creativity of the students beautifully laid out with different colouring mediums and colourful presentations.

 19^th April 2010: A nation-wide Paper Bag Making Campaign was organized by TERI. Students from Classes IV to VIII participated and made paper bags using 100% eco-friendly material, for instance the glue used was made of wheat flour/rice and for decoration dry leaves, dry flowers, coloured grains etc, were used.

7^th April 2010 : World Health Day was celebrated with the enthusiastic participation of the Primary students. The occasion was graced by a team from the popular healthy food company-Bambino. They enlightened the attentive audience with an audio-visual presentation on nutritious foods.

5^th April 2010 : Orientation Programme,  an annual feature of the school, was organized to welcome the Montessori students into the Primary Section.
